Buchanan Lodge is a home that provides care and services to adults whose needs meet the criteria of “complex care” as established by the Fraser Health Authority. We are funded by Fraser Health and owned and operated by the Governing Council of The Salvation Army in Canada. We provide holistic care, with spiritual health being the “heart and soul” of our mission. Buchanan Lodge is a long-standing member of the New Westminster community and has established a number of partnerships as a good neighbour.

Buchanan Lodge is taking the following ongoing proactive measures to protect the health of our residents:
- To reduce possible exposures, we are scheduling and screening all visitors. Please email: covidvisits@buchanan-lodge.com or call: 604.517.4112 to schedule your visit.
- Please open the visitation instructions (under More Covid-19 Info) and read before coming to visit.
- Visits by most non-essential personnel continue to be suspended (eg. tours, school groups, volunteers, etc.).
- Inter-house gatherings are suspended
although we are restarting chapels and other programs for each individual house.
- Bus outings for residents are suspended.
- Doors between the houses are being kept closed to restrict movement between the houses. Check below for more updates.

"Buchanan is a very “homey” place - everyone is very friendly! I really enjoy the ceramic classes and was surprised to learn they have their own Kiln here.
"I also enjoy the many music programs and think it is wonderful that residents can participate in planting the gardens. I really like living here."
